This week we asked the experts at Total Management Travel to let us in on their summer holiday ideas. From lounging on the white sand beaches of Zanzibar to island hopping in New England, these are the cities, lakes, beaches and islands our travel managers have at the top of their globetrotting wish lists.

Steph
Lake Garda, Italy
“I’ve always wanted to go here for the beautiful scenery – and you can’t go wrong with Italian grub! The hotel has a spa too, making for a very relaxing break.”
Where to Stay: Grand Hotel Fasano. Located lakeside in Gardone Riviera, this former hunting lodge turned five-star accommodation is an oasis of relaxation.

Kyale
Mykonos, Greece
“Mykonos – Elia Beach to be specific! It’s a gorgeous place with hilltop accommodation overlooking the sea. There are great places to eat and five Myconian Collection hotels along the hill and beachfront all linked to each other. Each has a completely different vibe so makes for an amazing holiday. They also run shuttle transfers to and from Mykonos Town until 2am– fabulous!”
Where to Stay: Myconian Utopia. Classy, sophisticated, welcoming and relaxed, Myconian Utopia promises a romantic getaway in the most beautiful of settings.

Laila
Boston, Massachusetts
“I’d love to visit Boston. There are plenty of direct and affordable flights options from London that’ll get you there in less than eight hours. Before you know it you can be hopping between the 34 islands floating in Boston Harbour, admiring the city’s federal-style architecture, or watching a game of baseball at world-famous Fenway Park.”
Where to Stay: Liberty Hotel, this former jail turned chic, upscale hotel has been a go-to haunt since opening in 2007.

Ben
Zanzibar, Tanzania
“Zanzibar is super beautiful. It’s located just off the coast of Tanzania and has amazing white sand beaches and crystal clear ocean as far as the eye can see. Not to mention it’s the birthplace of Freddy Mercury! What more do you need?”
Where to Stay: Diamonds Star of the East, the island’s most exclusive resort with just 11 villas that feature their own private pool, large terrace and dazzling sea views.

Sarah
Île de Ré, France
“I’m hoping to travel to Île de Ré in France. It’s easy to get to for a long weekend over the European summer. You can get the train from Paris or fly direct to La Rochelle and drive over. It’s a beach destination but there are also loads of cycling paths connecting the island’s ten villages. It looks amazing.”
Where to Stay: Hotel de Toiras, overlooking the harbour, this five-star Relais & Chateaux hotel is equal parts luxurious and comfortable.

Hanna
Hvar, Croatia
“As well as stunning beaches and historic sites there is loads to do such as wine tours, natural attractions, boat cruises, and the nightlife is supposed to be amazing! Good destination for an adventure or if you just want to relax.”
Where to Stay: Little Green Bay. A serene hideaway set in its own quiet bay, this charming ‘non-hotel’ features just 15 rooms, an intimate restaurant and outdoor spa.
