Food & Drink
Holistic restaurant Macondo reflects simple, laid-back vibes in its menu brimming with fresh, local, and sustainably sourced ingredients. Diners congregate around one central family-style table carved from one single tree trunk to enjoy a selection of wholesome vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. The resort’s beach restaurant, La Popular, takes inspiration from the fish market, paying homage to life by the sea. The menu captures the authentic and fresh flavours of the coast while the protection of the ocean and Tulum’s biodiversity remains at the crux.
Comprising 32 guest rooms and 12 luxury caravan tents, all accommodations at Nomade Tulum effortlessly mix simple, rustic details with modern amenities and contemporary comforts. All come adorned with local artisan crafts, understated furnishings, air-conditioning, WiFi and room service. Varying in location, some are set within the jungle, others open out to the white-powdered beaches, and the larger feature multiple bedrooms with private pools. The tents are pitched amongst the jungle, unobtrusively immersed within the natural elements and boast privacy, wooden verandas, and outdoor showers.
Located a 90-minute drive from Cancun, Nomade Tulum is a secluded retreat but remains within easy reach of neighbouring sites and beaches. There are plenty of taxis or alternatively, the hotel can arrange private transfers. The local area is easily navigable by foot or bike, with plenty of local bars and restaurants to discover.
“A zen oasis with a Moroccan influence; A melting pot of nomad travellers set amongst sandy beaches, organic food, and total tranquillity.”
