At the Hotel
Blending seamlessly into the natural surrounds, Mashpi Lodge is a jungle oasis set 950 metres above sea level. Built over three floors, the forest hideaway accommodates 44 guests in its 22 rooms. Ample public areas – spacious lounges, reading and dining room – afford guests complete immersion into the serenity of the jungle while the teeming wildlife sits waiting to be explored. Activities include bird-watching, bicycle rides, and nature treks to the nearby hummingbird garden, eight-storey observation tower, and waterfalls. The Wellness space, complete with Jacuzzi and massage room, offers beauty and body treatments for complete relaxation and rejuvenation.
Food & Drink
The lodge houses a two-storey dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows for a dramatic experience amongst the treetops. Drawing inspiration from Ecuadorian cuisine and ingredients, the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus showcase herbs, spices, and tropical fruits sourced from the surrounding rainforest and region. Delicately prepared with imagination and flair, complement your meal with a carefully selected wine list featuring Chilean and Argentinean vintages.
Rooms
Cosy cocoons amidst the forest, the 22 rooms (including three suites) let the surrounds do the talking with neutral colour palettes and warm-tone furnishings. All north facing, every room welcomes views of the forest with wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows. The Wayra Rooms, perfect for families or groups of friends, come with either one king or two full-sized beds with connecting rooms available. The Yaku Suites, spanning 400 square feet, come with a king-size bed, a large bathroom and free-standing Philippe Starck-designed bathtub.
