At the Hotel
Set in an alpine valley, Dunton Hot Springs was originally the site of an old mining town. Restored and revitalised to offer 21st century hospitality for up to 44 guests, it’s now a destination dotted with hand-hewn log cabins, a modern-day saloon, indoor and outdoor hot springs, and spa. The 13 cabins can be booked independently, with various packages available, or rent the town for an intimate wedding, family gathering or corporate event.
Food & Drink
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served at the Saloon, with the option to dine separately or together at the long antique table. At the heart of the Saloon is an open kitchen where the talented team of chefs, led by Executive Chef Basil Yu, create a daily menu using local and regional ingredients.
Rooms
Hidden behind a rustic façade, the luxurious interiors of all 13 log cabins provide a cosy retreat from the wondrous outdoors. Varying in size and style, Dunton Store (the original General Store) sleeps up to four and has its own private soaking pool, while Dolores (a restored riverside 1800’s cabin) sleeps two for a secluded, romantic escape. The newest addition, Christy’s Tent, is an all-season tent made of reclaimed materials and cotton canvas that promises uninterrupted views of the mountain range.
Location
Dunton Hot Springs is located at the Southwest corner of Colorado, between the city of Cortez and town of Telluride. Four airports (Cortez, Durango, Telluride and Montrose) are close, with pre-arranged airport transfers available; Denver is a seven-hour drive away.
