At the Hotel
An idyllic Thai sanctuary overlooking the hills of Laos and Myanmar, this five-star hotel offers guests a unique retreat amongst the jungle. It’s equipped with an infinity pool, terrazzo tubs, fitness centre, tennis and squash courts. Local experiences pay homage to the people and landscape of the region; enjoy the company of elephants at the onsite camp, discover neighbouring countries and hill-top villages, explore Mekong river by boat, or revive your senses with luxurious treatments at Anantara’s signature Chiang Ria Spa.
Food & Drink
Three on-site venues showcase a mix of northern and traditional Thai cuisine with tastes of surrounding countries and international fusions. Sala Mae Nam and its terrace with striking views provides the perfect setting to enjoy the distinct flavours of northern Thai at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Baan Dahlia serves up Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, complemented by an extensive wine list, and Elephant Bar and Opium Terrace is the prime spot for after-dinner drinks. For a hands-on experience, guests can also attend Spice Spoons, the Anantara cooking school.
Rooms
The three room types – suites, deluxe rooms and family suites – range in size to accommodate different groups and individuals. Similar in style, each room is appointed with lush down duvets, Thai silks, spacious bathrooms, romantic terrazzo tubs and decorative details.
Location
Anantara is a just 60-minute drive from Chiang Rai International Airport and 280km away from the city of Chiang Mai. Set in the Golden Triangle – the area that overlaps the mountains of northern Thailand, Myanmar and Laos – its picturesque surrounds include beautifully landscaped gardens, bamboo forest and mountainside jungle.
